But first they decide to have a competition as they both are quite competitive, who can kill the most Counts of Blood. Jake and the Sword Saint will finally have a chance to duel and see who is the at the pinnacle of earth’s humans. But the good news is that Book 6 would be coming soon, so that’s a win for us readers! I would have liked to have some more hints about what happens in the next book in the conclusion part. Overall, it is not bad for a fan of the series, and the upcoming stories would continue to be exciting it seems. The ending could have been better, as it feels a sudden end, but thankfully not a maddening cliffhanger. In fact, the duel after the hunt felt more exciting than the preceding event. ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, the treasure hunt is a series of highs and lows and feels a tad too long, although it does have variety in the form of both action and puzzles, sudden ambushes, and also sprinkled with minor character introductions/development/interactions. In the preface the author jokes about making the whole book about the treasure hunt system event, which would be hilarious… if it was a joke. This book is not bad, but falls a bit flat compared to the epic powerups and story progressions of the previous books.
